Major record company



Sony Music Entertainment is an American music corporation owned and operated by Sony Corporation of America. In 1929, the enterprise was first founded as 'American Record Corporation' and was then renamed Columbia Recording Corporation in 1938, from then on it was renamed several other times, until it came to Sony Music Entertainment, in 1991.



Sony Music Entertainment features artists such as; Avril Lavigne, Celine Dion, John Legend, Rebecca Ferguson, Paloma Faith, Miley Cyrus, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Labrinth and Justin Timberlake.

And features videos like; Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball, and Avril Lavigne - Let Me Go




Independant Record Company



FatCat Records is an indepentant label based in Brighton, England. It originally began in 1989 as a record store in Crawley, West Sussex, formed by Alex Knight and Dave Cawley. It moved to central London in 1990, then the store closed down in 1997, creating a record label, which moved to Brighton in 2001.


Their genres include; electronica, post rock, indie, minimal techno and punk-pop, and have assigned artists such as; Animal Collective, Frightened Rabbit, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Honeyblood and The Twilight Sad.
