After analyzing the questionnaire results, we have decided to chose a chart song as they are more popular within our target audience, which we have decided will be young teenagers aged 12-18. We have also decided that we will chose a song from a well known artist as they will have a much bigger fan base.
Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, also known by her stage name of Katy Perry, was born on the 25th October, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California. She is an American singer, songwriter, and actress.
We have decided to do one of Katy Perry's songs as she is a world wide popular artist, who has had quite a few number one singles. Some of her songs are very meaningful, which we could use a hard hitting narrative with.
We have chosen to do her song 'Roar' as it was number one in the charts, but is now currently seventh, after nine weeks. 'Roar' is now her fourth number one in the UK charts and her eighth number one in the US charts.
Her album 'Prism', which includes the single 'Roar' is currently second in the UK top 40 album charts.
After researching into Katy Perry we have found out that she has a massive fan base. It is so big that she has overtaken Justin Bieber with the amount of twitter followers, as she is now the most followed person on twitter and is expected to reach fifty million followers.
